Paul Sparks, Online Business English Lesson Plans, Lesson Material and Ideas for Grade 1 English Conversation Lessons at Xiangtan Normal University...

Lesson Objectives
To allow the students to contact other students in the UK - Pen Friends - in order to improve their written skills and enable them to find out more about student life in the UK
The second part of the lesson will involve discussion - this is to encourage students to speak in groups and learn how to communicate more effectively.

Lesson Activities
Students tell us about their Pen Friends - and we discuss the options for setting up pen friends in the UK. Second part of the lesson involves discussion in small groups.

Pen Friends
Pen Friends, (normally called Pen-Pal's) can be people that you write letters to, or people you send e-mail with.

We are going to set up links for students in our university with students in the UK. If everyone can write a letter to the UK we will post them altogether. (More information to be given in lessons)

Have you any pen pal stories?
Have you any pen pals who live in other countries?
