What Is the Most Popular Acne Treatment System Out On the Market

by: Kevin Emswiler
The best way I can answer this question is by giving my own first hand account. Like many teenagers I developed acne during puberty. Between the ages of 16 and 17 it was at its all time worst. I had blemishes on my face, chest, shoulders, and lower back. During my early twenties the acne on my face subsided, but I was still very embarrassed to take my shirt off.

The first acne treatment I tried were some of the popular over the counter products: Clearasil and Neutrogena. After they failed I went to a dermatologist. She prescribed Differin and Tetracycline. Differin is a cream you put on your blemishes and Tetracycline is a pill that supposed to fight your acne internally.

Six months later neither helped and in fact I think they made my acne worse. Not to mention the awful side effects that came with Differin. It tried my skin out to the point where it constantly itched.

Sometime later I saw the Proactiv Solution infomercial on TV. At first, I was skeptical about ordering it. I had tried a couple of infomercial products in the past and was disappointed with the results, but I had tried everything else so I gave it a go.

Seven months later I was virtually acne free. Proactiv does work and it doesn’t come with all those side effects associated with many prescription medications.

Acne’s not a big issue health wise, but psychologically it can be devastating. At one point I became embarrassed to go out in public and as a result became antisocial. If your acne makes you feel self conscious, give Proactive a try. The self-confidence you get back easily pays for the cost many times over.
