Baby car seat safety tips

by: Marilyn Willoughby
Whether you are driving to the end of the block or across the country; correct installation of a baby car seat suitable for the age and size of your child is essential for baby car seat safety. If yours is one of the new designs, correctly installed and the appropriate size for your child’s age, height and weight, baby car seat safety levels are increased even more.

Some features that will provide the greatest measure of baby car seat safety combined with maximum comfort and convenience follow. To provide the highest level of baby car seat safety, the seat should be installed in the center of the rear seat facing the back of the vehicle for as long as possible but at least until your child’s first birthday. A five-point harness will provide a greater margin of safety than a three-point harness. More padding, particularly in the head area, will provide greater protection.

Browse and select your baby car seat from all of the major manufacturers like Graco, Century and Peg Perego and obtain further baby car seat safety tips.
