ORAL ENGLISH: Final Exam
Results - Class 13
Exam
Guidelines: The final examination
for Oral English will test students speaking skills for both
prepared and unprepared speaking. The exam will take place
during the normal lesson time in the usual classroom. Students
are expected to comply with university rules regarding exams (no
cheating or collusion, silence during exams, no mobile phones
etc.) - any student in breach of these rules will be asked to
leave the exam, resulting in no marks being awarded.
Section
1: Prepared Speaking (80%) - You
will be given a question at random. You have one week to prepare
your answer. You should speak for two minutes (no less than 1
minute 50 seconds, no longer than 2 minutes 10 seconds)
explaining your opinion with reasons. The marks for this section
are awarded as follows:

Pronunciation
(Word Stress / Intonation & Tone
etc.) (20%)

Fluency
(Clarity / Speed / Use of Pauses etc.) (20%)

Expressing
Opinions (Giving Opinions with Multiple Reasons) (20%
-
Professionalism
(Body Language / Structure - Introduction & Conclusion
etc.) (20%
Section
2: Unprepared Speaking (20%) - You
will be asked a question at random, you should answer the
question fully. You will be given one mark of 20% for your
general speaking ability.
